This page describes the Market Segmentation of small wind turbine applications, developed by the SWIIS Consortium. As with any such study, the issue of grey areas is apparent.
The calculation of overall price will include, among others, the following:
1. The “ex-works” price, which may or may not include agent fees, retailer margins, etc.
2. Transport and delivery costs, which change according to distance and other parameters.
In general, this website relies on the ex-works price as provided by manufacturers in the Manufacturer Individual Forms, summarised in the Turbines by Swept Surface Area page.
